About US
Tracks Bar and Family Dining opened July 5th 2006 after six long months of remodeling from a fire. Dave and Mary Larson bought a burned out restaurant a year after the fire.
The family and some friends tore down a wall, brought down the ceiling, ripped out the floor and made many trips to the dump. And that was the easy part. Then they started to rebuild. New walls and paneling had to be put up. The bar was moved from the north east corner of the building to the south west corner.
Things slowly came together.
They opened for the first time on the Wednesday after the 4th of July. All they did was turn on the lights, had four tables set up and barstools around the bar.
They just had burgers to cook and all the tables were full. Thursday they added a few more tables, added a few more items to the menu and they were full again. The first Friday night fish fry they served over a hundred people. Then they advertised that they were open and that is when the fun began.
Most people will know the Kitchen Manager/Cook as Danny. He was the cook at Pair-o-Lakes lodge for several years. He then went on to be the manager at Whiskey Creek until the place burned in 2005. Dan Larson has been perfecting his rib recipe for many years and that is one of the most popular items on the menu.
We have a huge dining room with seating up to 90 people.
